Business Success Criteria Standard “best practice” is to determine project “success criteria” – actually completion criteria – that when met enable project closure and release of resources. All projects are in the red at completion because they have consumed their organization's time, finances and resources – an investment. Only time will tell if the results will bear fruit – i.e. a Return-on-Investment (Ro͘I)! Our goal in casting tactical project management in the broader context of strategic program management is to strive for a more important measure of success – typically time-tested financial results versus technical accomplishments – such that anyone involved can say a year later with confidence: “Yes! That was a worthwhile endeavor.” © 1996 – 2024 Help Team Incorporated |
